Anti Aging Wrinkle Cream Versus Microdermabrasion

As a consumer, searching for the right type of anti aging skin care treatment can be a daunting task especially with the number of "breakthrough" treatments available popping up nearly every month or so. There must be an alternative to plowing through page after page of skin care websites easier way to perform this research, right? Yes, there is. A head-to-head comparison of two skin care treatments will simplify things for you. This article will take two anti aging skin care treatments and reveal the pros and cons of both, making the decision-making process a little less overwhelming. We will start with a description of each and then move into its benefits and drawbacks beginning with microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion is the newer, less painful version of dermabrasion. Dermabrasion is the painful process of removing the outer surface layer of skin leaving the newly exposed layer to heal. Fortunately, science and technology have advanced to the point where such a procedure can be performed with little to no pain or downtime due to scarring. That's exactly what microdermabrasion can do for you. It's a gentle, nonablative treatment that removes the outer layer of skin with a sandblasting technique using aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate crystals.

Microdermabrasion's controlled pealing and rapid healing process causes a renewal of skin surface cells that stimulate the body's collagen production. This gentle, nonablative treatment softens fine lines, improves dull and uneven skin pigments, and minimizes clogged pores and blackheads. Microdermabrasion's strong point is it's ability to erase common skin irregularities on the upper lip and crow's feet area.

Unfortunately, that's about where the benefits stop for microdermabrasion. It's effectiveness against the signs of aging are somewhat limited. The treatment is not usually effective for deep wrinkles, prominent smile lines, or other facial expression induced creases. Therefore, microdermabrasion is often used in combination with another anti aging treatment.

On the other hand, an anti aging wrinkle cream might just be what the doctor ordered. Truthfully, the vast majority of anti aging creams and serums on the market do not work. With that said, our focus will be on products possessing at least one of the following premium anti aging ingredients.

Silicone Dioxide-microscopic three-dimensional crystals that refract light causing fine lines and wrinkles to disappear

D3PA (Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Oxidant)-stimulates the body's own D3PA which fights off collagen-attacking free radicals.

Idebenone (Super Anti-Oxidant)-restores cell vitality and shields the skin from environmental damage

Ascorbyl Palmitate (the right kind of vitamin C)-stabilizes vitamin C's effective antioxidant abilities

Deanol (Skin Toner)-firms the skin and tightens muscles beneath the skin's surface

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (Ultimate Botox Alternative)-produces the same results as botox minus the needle injections, toxins, and cost

Adding an anti aging wrinkle cream to a daily skin care regiment is easily accomplished. An anti aging wrinkle cream assists in reversing the signs of aging from the inside out. Regular use of an anti aging wrinkle cream can postpone and even completely eliminate the need for invasive botox injections and cosmetic surgery procedures.

Effective anti aging wrinkle creams are not cheap. Due to the scientifically formulated ingredients and limited quantities, these creams can cost as much as $400. Secondly, miraculous results from using an anti aging wrinkle will not be immediate. It oftentimes can take up to 30 days to really see a difference. Reversing years of skin damage overnight is an expectation that will not be met. So have some patience, and it would be smart to take advantage of any free trial offers in order to give a wrinkle cream a test run.

In conclusion, microdermabrasion wasn't much of a match for the anti aging wrinkle cream. It's limited, overall effectiveness against treating common skin concerns caused it's defeat in the head-to-head challenge. Microdermabrasion, in tandem, with an anti aging wrinkle cream, such as LifeCell would certainly cover most if not all common skin concerns. As a footnote, LifeCell was found to be the only anti aging wrinkle cream possessing all 6 aforementioned premium ingredients.

This is a great blog. Thank you for putting this forum together. I have been reading blogs like this for awhile and for the most part people have had positive experiences with their elective procedures. That is great to see. I would be interested to know what your cirteris would be - or has been - in a search for a cosmetic surgeon. That is undoubtedly the most difficult part of the process - finding a good surgeon for your specific situation. My name is Mia I am the VP of Operations at The Patients Advantage. I am not interested in selling what we do on these blogs. What we do is at no cost to patients. I am interested in feedback from people who have already gone through the search process and or have taken the process all the way and had an elective procedure done. We have been in business since 2004 and the feedback we have received has always kept us in the forefront of technology and develop the tools that keep patients better informed on who the best surgeons are and the research tools about the procedures of interest. Please reply to this post on what is important to you…or email me directly from here or through our site; www.thepatientsadvantage.com. Happy Holidays!

Yes thank you for this blog. Until I started using a products by Azure Cosemceuticals I did a lot of research trying to find the right anti-aging product line for me. It was helpful in the past and even today to read blogs such as this one. I have been using Hydropeptide face corrective cream and I am pleased with the results. I cannot speak for everyone, but I have wanted to stay away from Botox and this company has given me what I feel I need to stay away from injections. It works for some people, but it was not something I wanted to try. Hydropeptide face cream has 11 collagen boosting peptides and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and so smooth. So far I am very happy with Azure Cosmeceuticals. Thank you again for this blog and the information provided in it.

I would much rather use a cream than do microdermabrasion. I don't think you should ruin your natural skin barrier. I too love hydropeptide. Its such an amazing line of anti aging products. I use their peptide vitamin c peel and their face cream. combination is really phenomenal.
